Carlsons on the Move...

Andrew was "Billy Blaze, Rescue Hero" and Nicholas was a frog! We went into downtown Edmonds and went to the shop! There were lots of people and lots of candy.


As we were walking, Chad and I got hungry and went into Toshi's Teryiaki. The lady handed Chad the bowl of candy to pass out while she was cooking his dinner. So he passed out candy for about 15 minutes to a bunch of kids. It was great!


The boys enjoyed coming back home and passing out candy to our neighborhood kids.

Today was Andrews Orange Party at school. They wore orange, did fun crafts and had orange snacks. I was able to hang out in the classroom with them. Fun times!

What a fun weekend we had! Friday we spent the day as a family going to the childrens museum and went out to lunch. Andrew and Nicholas then went to Centralia to visit Nana and Pom Pom for the night. Friday night, Chad and I joined the youth group and went to the Washington State Corn Maze. We had a great time going through the maze in the dark. Saturday, Chad and I were able to sleep in until 10:00am. It was wonderful. We spent the rest of the day working in the yard and cleaning up the house. The boys came home with Nana and Pom Pom around dinner time. Today we went to church, and enjoyed our day together. Tonight we had some friends over for dinner and played Cranium. Good job Bruce and Lydia...they won!

I put Nicholas (21 months) to bed this evening on the bottom bunk. When I went to check on him...he had climbed to the top bunk and fallen asleep.

Today is my brothers birthday, Happy Birthday Matt! It happens to be mine too! We will be celebrating this evening together along with the rest of the family.

So this morning, I spent time with my boys.

This afternoon I got to go to the Pike Place Market with Chad, Andrew, Nicholas, Wendy (Chad's sister) and Diane (Wendys friend).



Andrew took the market photo. I also got a couple of watercolor pictures from my favorite Seattle artist, Sarah Clementson.

October = Carving pumpkins. Its always fun and Chad loves to have the seeds. We carved pumpkins on Saturday night with the college kids from church.

Today I was able to go to my niece, Kaylas soccer game. It was fun to watch her play and see how she has improved. I was also able to spend time with my nephews Dillon and Dawson. My brother, Matt had to referee the game.

This year Andrew has decided he is going to be a "Rescue Hero, Billy Blaze" and Nicholas is going to be a frog, (Andrew wore it last year). We actually have 2 frogs.

Since Chad is now working a more flexible job, we have decided that a chunk of the day on Monday will be set aside for Family. So this morning Chad worked until lunch time, and then the four of us went to a pumpkin farm. We had a great time together, running, laughing and just being silly. Chad and Andrew picked out some great pumpkins. The boys did a hay maze and fed "Jumpy" this really cool goat that pulls up his food in a can. Its crazy. We also went out to dinner to Sparta's (the best pizza joint in the NW!).











When we got home we were playing out in the front yard/on the street. The boys had a great time riding around. It was a super day!

Well, you know when things are quite, that trouble may be ahead...well that was the truth today with Andrew and Nicholas. Andrew was sitting on the toliet, and Nicholas was handing Andrew Q-tips! Andrew was then stuffing them into the toliet. Lets just say, a box of 500 kept them busy for awhile!

It wasn't so fun to clean them up!

Its raining, Chad is out of town, the boys are energetic (like normal), so I brought the bouncy toy in the house today! They are having a great time!

Nicholas and I are having a great time together while Andrew goes to school on tuesday and thursday mornings. He and I get to play with play doh, puzzles, and toys that Andrew doesn't know he plays with. It has been fun. Nicholas is talking like crazy. The other day he had a conversation with a lady in the store. She asked how he was doing and he said, "good". Then she asked how old he was, and he said, "one". Then he said, "bye bye lady, mom I need snack. please." The lady looked at me, like did I just hear that right. Yes you did.

Side note. Andrew started Awana last night and really enjoyed himself. He can't wait to get his vest and book. I am sure I will post photos of that in the future.

Today Andrew and I went on the ferry for his field trip. He had a great time hanging out with his friends and having snacks on the boat.
