PJ Day!

Today was PJ day at preschool. All the kids came dressed in their PJ's. They brought their blankets and pillows, and we served them breakfast. It was funny...one of the teachers asked me if I would cook eggs for the kids. When I told her that the only time I had cooked eggs was in the microwave, she laughed! So I helped make toast and clean up. The kids were very cute and it was fun to interact with them.
As if they didn't get enough to eat during breakfast, they had popcicles for a snack.

Opposites...sort of!

Andrew and I were playing a game of opposites. We did most of them and when we got to, "Andrew, what is the opposite of hot", he said Pizza!

We laughed!

Great Nana's Birthday

Today we spent the day with my Grandma. It was her 88th birthday. We started the day with breakfast at our house, having waffles. We sat around and chatted, played Flinch (a game we used to play with her as kids) and watched Andrew and Nicholas.

Some of the other things we did...

Lunch at Fat Burger in Issaquah
Went to see the Snoqualmie Falls
Shopping at North Bend Outlet Mall
Walked around Molbak's in Woodinville
Dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Lynnwood

Busy, Busy day, But all things my Grandma likes to do!

Happy Birthday Grandma...aka Great Nana! Posted by Picasa

Last day of Gymnastics

Andrew had his last gymnastics class today. He has learned a lot and enjoyed being with other kids. He got to go on the bars and show off his stuff!

His class has been working on a routine for the spring gymnastics show, to the music of Dora the Explorer!

At the end of class, they handed out awards...and Andrew got to say "Ta Da"! Posted by Picasa

Field Trip to Edmonds Beach

Andrew and I went to Edmonds Beach today for his class field trip. Forcast was RAIN all day! We arrived at the beach with just clouds in the sky. The rain held off until we were done! Andrew had a great time looking at all the fun creatures and playing in the water.

Andrew and Teacher Pasi were discussing starfish...aka seastars.

Andrew and I were walking along the sand and found this mound of what we thought was just a shell. Turns out it was a "moon snail". It was HUGE!

Andrew and his friend Elijah were trying to catch little crabs and fish. They actually caught a little fish.

Great times! Posted by Picasa

Chad went to Preschool today

Today Chad had the opportunity to join Andrew at preschool for show-n-tell! Chad was there to show his scuba gear. He let the kids touch and try on some of his stuff. It was really funny to hear the questions kids were asking and how Chad was trying to answer them at a kid friendly level. He did a great job. Andrew was very proud of his dad...aka the scuba diver.

Andrew's preschool class gets to go on a field trip next week to the Edmonds Beach, so they were learning about fish and stuff they might see at the beach. And who better to share than a real live scuba diver! Posted by Picasa

Sunny Day

Today was warm enough to pull the pool out. Andrew and Nicholas loved playing together. Nicholas tried out the sprinkler for the first time...didn't go over so well. Posted by Picasa

Happy Mother's Day!

I went to the store today in search for several Mother's Day cards. There were a lot of cards, some funny, but a lot of them were lame. Nothing said it just right.

So to my friends who are MOM's...

Your kids are lucky to have you for their mom! Someone that they can learn from, play with, talk to, and look up to. You cook, do laundry, plan fun events to keep them busy and much more that others don't see. So I hope on Sunday you are able to enjoy your special day as a Mom.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I am thankful to be a mom to Andrew and Nicholas. They bring so much spunk and love into my life. I am thankful that they are healthy and that I am able to stay home and care for them. I am thankful that they call me MOM. Posted by Picasa

Camp Carlson

Where is a great place to go camping with kids?

Left: Noah and Andrew playing t-ball

Right: Lydia Stuart playing in the sandbox

Left: I found 2 pair of the same PJ's for Andrew and Noah. They thought that was pretty cool

Right: Andrew trying out his bed in the tent

Our backyard!

Nice flat yard for tents, with plenty of room to run and play, firepit to cook hotdogs and roast marshmellows, sandbox with toys, a swing, and a real bathroom, plus the mom's had their own beds inside! Andrew and Noah had a great time sleeping in the tent with their dads, but it did get a little chilly. Posted by Picasa
