New Photos from Sears

Today I had Andrews 4 year photos taken at Sears. Nicholas joined him for a few. Take a look and let me know what you think. Click Here! It will take you to the Sears website and look to the left of the page, it will list a login/password. It should come up with my info. If it doesn't enter cnc-carlson@earthlink.net and then password: andrew Go to view/order and it should bring up the photos. Hope it works. If all that doesn't work...then here are the numbers you need to know.

Old Times

After our weekend of camping, we met up with some old friends. Josh, Kristen and their daughter Estella. Family Weekend

This weekend we went to the Anderson/Syre Family picnic in Bellingham, on the bank of the Nooksack River. We have been going there since we were kids, when my great-grandparents lived on a farm. All of my siblings and their families camped for the weekend.

We had a great time! Lots of food, picking blackberries, playing in the river, getting dirty, playing with cousins and riding around on the "Mule".
My brother Greg found a frog. Nicholas and the rest of the cousins enjoyed trying to catch it.

This week...

This week has been fun! We haven't been super busy, which is sortof unusual.

Photo: Andrew and his cousin Dillon playing together in the hot tub, the pool and they played with Geo Trax.

Photo: Andrew and Nicholas have had a great time this week with the Geo Trax train. It takes up our entire living room, and it isn't even all of the track. Nicholas is at the age where he understands the idea, but still likes to be "baby-zilla" and knock the trains off the track.

Tonight we went to "Edmonds Night Out", sponsered by the Edmonds Police and Fire Departments. The boys had a great time looking at the fire trucks and police cars. They also had pony rides and inflatable toys to bounce on.

They both had fun, and were very tired!

Conversation with Andrew

Andrew: Mom I think it should be a lazy day.
Cindy: What does that mean to you?
Andrew: Well, wearing boxers, eating popcorn and watching LOTS of movies!

Time with Family!

This weekend Andrew, Nicholas, my grandma and I went to Centralia to visit my parents.

Fun things we did:

Fed 8 cows, 1 steer, and 1 white horse green apples

Saw elk and other fun animals at Northwest Trek, in Eatonville, WA

Went to a fun hands on visitor center and saw lot of kritters...snakes, bees, slugs and frogs. Posted by Picasa

Saw beautiful Mount Rainier

Watched an amazing sunset

The boys got to play in 14 piles of dirt and sit on a "Bob Cat" machine at my parents house. They went through many clothes and took lots of baths. Posted by Picasa

Spent quality time with Andrew and Nicholas.

This wasn't fun but Nicholas is such a trooper! He took several diggers this weekend and here are two battle wounds...one on his forehead and one on his knee.

Why I do what I do...

As I sit here Cindy and the boys have been gone since Friday Night. They actually picked a great weekend to go and see her parents because it has been very hot for us and they have air conditioning. Nicholas seems to be like me in that he does not do very well in the heat. Over the last two days I have had time to ponder. First and foremost it was my goal to seek God and listen to His voice in my life this weekend. I have taken the weekend to stop, well as much as I know how to stop, and be quite before Him. It has been a great weekend. The thoughts that kept coming to mind were that of foundations.

Let me explain: You know the Jesus answers for foundations so I will spare you this, Cindy is my rock. She is always consistant, caring, and understanding. The last three years have been hard on us both, the boys and she has never waivered, knowing that God was going to continue to supply for all of our needs as HE sees fit. Even is midst of craziness she has stayed strong and faithful. Thank you Cindy for caring and loving me even when it is hard. I love you and cannot wait to see what He is going to reveal to us in our next adventure, there is no one else I would rather adventure with.

Cindy is a fantastic mom to the boys. I can see them growing and learning everyday. This is Nicholas being very upset that he does not have the camera in his hands.

Everyday when I get home I am reminded of how our posture before God needs to be. I see the love and adoration that our boys have for us and this is how God wants us to respnd to Him. Why is it hard to respond to Him in that way? When I walk in the door the boys run to me with open arms. Is this my posture?

Please excuse my ramblings this is what happens when I have some time to think and ponder. I threw a picture of me diving for those that are interested.

Check it Out

Andrew was invited to a party today at a place called Pump It Up, in Lynnwood. I wasn't able to take him, so our friend Jeana took him and her son Noah. Check out their blog to see the fun he had with his buddy Noah.

Thanks again Jeana for taking Andrew

Fun Times at Renton River Days

Today Andrew, Nicholas and I went to Renton River Days. It was a FREE festival for kids.

The best part for the boys was this thing (first photo) that they could bang on with drum sticks...actually they were chopsticks with ducktape on the ends, but they loved it.

The other highlights of our time was the red firetrucks, the kids circus, the petting zoo and the Ikea booth! Posted by Picasa

    Work...Work...Work!

This weekend we went to my sisters house to help on projects around their house. Chad helped install a new hot water heater, a utility sink in the garage, hang sheetrock, do some other plumbing stuff, and other projects.
My sister and I planted some new hanging baskets, laid weed mat, and planted some pots.

Besides doing work, we found time to play!
Andrew and Nicholas enjoyed playing with their 3 dogs... Angel, Noel, and the little dog Yoda. Nicholas learned to say "Yoda, and No dog". He also said for the first time "Auntie"!

Bekah and Andrew painted a small table for their back deck.

Andrew and Nicholas played in the yard in the pool and sprinkler. We all had a great time!

Thanks Auntie Bekah and Uncle Jarrod! Posted by Picasa

    Thank you!!!

This is Chad. I am new to this whole Blog thing and quite frankly it freaks me out. Cindy is sure that I will like it once I get started and it will be hard to keep me quite, we shall see.
I wanted to thank all who supported us to get to the CRM conference in California. We are still in process and God is doing some amazing things with our team. We are still deciding a location, eagerly awaiting God direction.

Thank you again and we look forward to letting you know what God has called us to do as He reveals it to us.

    What a Zoo!

Today we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. We met up with the Beatty Family (minus Dave). It was fun to hang out with them plus see cool animals and play in the new kid zone!

Andrews favorite animal was the monkey and Nicholas favorite was the goat, because he could touch it and say Maaaaaaa!

So there was a point today when I got to watch all 5 boys...while Jen went to get lunch. Liam almost 10, Quinn I think 8, Kylen 5.5, Andrew almost 4, and Nicholas 1.5...What a Zoo!

    Bubble Painting

This is a new craft idea to us...Bubble Painting!

All you need is a container, bubbles or dish soap, tempra paint, a straw and a piece of paper.

Start blowing, and press the paper against the bubbles. It should show up on the paper. If not, you need more paint.

Andrew loved blowing the bubbles! Just make sure they blow out...and not in! It only takes once to learn! Posted by Picasa

    What Not to Wear...

I know that kids like to make their own choices about what to wear in public...and I know it could be worse! I told him he needed to add a t-shirt and shorts (those are just his boxers).

When Andrew and I were cleaning out a closet at church, we found this costume. So we are playing with it for awhile! Posted by Picasa

    Happy 4th!

Happy 4th! Today Andrew had the honor of walking/riding in the Edmonds parade. He was with the group from his gymnastics class/gym.

He enjoyed waving and handing out candy.

After the parade we went and saw "Cars" the movie for the 2nd time. Andrew loves the movie.

Then it was back to our house for a family BBQ. Andrew and Nicholas had a great time playing with their cousins, Kayla and Dillon. Baby Dawson was their too, just sleeping!

Both the boys in this photo are wearing "Car" pajamas...which happen to be size 4! Yes that is right, Nicholas can wear Andrews PJ's! Posted by Picasa
