Carlsons on the Move...

This morning driving to school:

Andrew: We woke up late this morning.
Cindy: Yes we did. After you go to bed, mommy has lots of work to do around the house, so I stay up late.
Andrew: Yah, Daddys go to work and Mommys do laundry.


Yesterday after reading a story about firemen to Andrew:

Cindy: If you have any questions about firemen you can ask Mark. (A friend from college)
Andrew: Thats a good idea. Mark knows lots about that. But Julie (Marks wife) doesn't.
Cindy: She doesn't?
Andrew: No, she knows about mommy and girl stuff.

If you ask Andrew why we are moving to New Orleans...this is the response you will get.

Cindy: Andrew, why are we moving to NOLA?
Andrew: We are going to be missionaries.
Cindy: What is a missionary?
Andrew: It is someone who tells people about Jesus.

If you ask Nicholas the same questions, this is his response...

Cindy: Nicholas, why are we moving to NOLA?
Nicholas: Going to be missionaries.
Cindy: What is a missionary?
Nicholas: tell Jesus about people

Andrew 4.5 years
Nicholas 2 years

Today Chad worked a side job. He told Andrew that he was going to spend the day swinging a hammer and working on bathrooms. Andrew looked at him and said, "Dad, you don't do that job anymore. You sit in an office and talk to people."
