Rejuvenation

Everyone needs time to rejuvenate! I know I did. Sunday I dropped the boys off with my parents for 2.5 days and I headed to Portland. Chad left Monday for California for 5 days. I was invited to stay at Mom and Dad Dorris' house in Beaverton. I knew that going there was going to be a great break from the hectic life that I am currently in the middle of, much time needed away and time to rejuvenate my heart and soul.

Sunday night, I spent time with Mom and Dad Dorris, Jim and Patty. I laughed so hard that at one point I was on the floor.

Monday morning I spent some time with Mom D, and I had a chance to cry. It was a good cry. I also had time set aside to spend with close friends; Melissa (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!), Allison and Laura. Thanks for a great day of laughs! These are all people who know me and who I can be real with.

Tuesday I had a quite morning and enjoyed a little "retail therapy" (shopping with NO tax). I got to have lunch with Jim, Chad's best friend.

I so enjoyed my time away. Thank you to all who had a part of my rejuvenation!

Date with Andrew

Today was a special day at Pre-K. The class celebrated Mother's Day. The moms got to come and join the class during snack time. I got to do a special project with Andrew. He also presented me with a special picture and a plant. It was cute and a fun time to be one on one with him.

Sunny Monday!

Andrew, Nicholas and I had a great day exploring. We started our day at Saint Edwards park and a picnic lunch. This is an amazing park with lots of places to climb and hide, swing and slide, along with playing in the sand. It was a beautiful day for playing outside. They were done with the park but weren't ready to go home, so I got the bright idea to go feed the ducks at Country Village. Well they don't seem to do that anymore, so we found the play area there and saw that the train was running. Andrew and Nicholas had a great time on the train. We also stopped by the church to hang out with Chad, as he was cleaning out his office and the youth house.

Lazy afternoon

We had a busy and cold morning with t-ball from 8-10:30am. So when we got home we ate lunch and then cuddled on the couch to watch a movie. I fell asleep and Nicholas joined me. Andrew was sneaky and grabbed the camera.

We took a drive to Mount Vernon today to visit the Children's Museum. It was small, but we were the only ones there for the first hour.

Super Sunday!

What a fun day we had with Nana. The boys and I met my mom in Seattle and went to the Pacific Science Center and the Seattle Children's Museum. The boys loved seeing the butterflies and playing in the water at the science center. They were also excited to see the Bob the builder exhibit and play the musical instruments at the children's museum.

We also went to a party and Andrew really enjoyed playing air hockey. And we ended the day with swimming at Great Nana's house.

It was a Super Sunday!

Adventures in Minnesota!

Andrew and I left at 12:50AM...fun flight for me, Andrew slept the entire way. When we landed he asked why we hadn't moved and wondered if the plane was broken.

We went on a froze pond and played. Fun times!

Andrew and Tilly, age 3 played dress up a bunch! Super cute!

We drove into Wisconsin for cheese, but ended back in Minnesota for more cheese.

Susie, Tilly and Andrew reading stories.

Andrew and I spent an afternoon together...doing fun things.

Airplane ride home.

Andrew was very excited to have an 8 week old puppy right next to him. The puppy came out to play several times and Andrew got to hold it.

Grandparents day cancelled!

Since school was cancelled today, there was no Grandparents day. My mom came up anyway and hung out with the boys. So we had a nice breakfast, played games and did puzzles. Then we went to the beach to throw rocks. After that we went to the fabric store to get fabric for a project that they are working on for the Wiggles concert in two weeks. Anyway, then we went to Target for lunch and to go shopping. Fun day!

Breakfast with Nana

Snow at the beach! You don't see that very often.

This was Andrews first trip to see the Troll under the Fremont bridge. He had a great time climbing. He also took my photo...kindof fuzzy.

Today Chad and I, along with the boys, and a friend, worked in our yard. Chad and our friend pressure washed the roof of the garage and the house. Chad also did some other misc projects. Afternoon at the park

This afternoon we took a walk around Audubon park. It is like Greenlake in WA, large park with a walking/running path, public golf course, pond with ducks and geese, and several playareas.
